I WILL KNOW MY NAME

What do I delight in
now that there is no time,
no if or when or maybe
no theirs or yours or mine?
No forward and no backwards
no up and no more down,
a world without a kingdom
no king or queen or crown.
What do I delight in
in a place of perfect light?
A place where heaven renders
every vista, every sight.
I walked the lakeside trail
every morning noon and night
with the company of nature
to put my heart to right.
I found there was a silence
that deafened in my head
I found there was a peacefulness
dissolving all my dread,
I found there was a fear inside
like melting snow in spring,
and felt the seed inside me
of a growing living thing,
the prospect of a knowing
the taking shape and form
of a perfect cloudless day
of sunrise at the dawn.
What do I delight in
in a world I’m yet to see?
Only in the promise
of all loves’ certainty.
What do I delight in now
that nothing is the same?
That soon will come the moment
when I will know my name.
